Supreme Court issues notice to 6 States for Cow vigilantism:

New Delhi: After the incident of Alwar where Pehlu Khan was beaten by cow vigilantes in Rajasthan was died from his injuries, the Supreme Court on Friday issued notice to six states namely: Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Jharkhand and Karnataka.

A Bench comprising Justice Deepak Mishra and A.M.Khanwilkar issued the notice on a plea seeking ban on cow vigilante groups in the six states. The bench has fixed the matter for hearing on 3rd may.
