A special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court in Panchkula will pronounce its verdict in an alleged rape case against Sirsa-based Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh on August 25.

New Delhi: Some people have more faith on country’s BABA instead of God. These type of people are ready to do anything for them. They are ready to die for them. But for the past few years Baba’s time not going well. People were  believed that Asaram Bapu is  God, hundreds of crores of them were followers, but Asaram could not save himself from the law. If he was miraculous, then he would not be in jail. Likewise, the devotees of Saint Rampal of Haryana also consider him as God but he is also in jail. Now, another Baba Gurmeet Ram Rahim from Haryana is facing the danger level in a rape case in C.B.I Court Panchkula Haryana. A former woman follower of the Dera Sacha Sauda made allegation of rape on chief in the campus. Dera is located near Sirsa, Haryana. The incident was alleged to occur in 1999 but the FIR was registered in 2002. In the case, the C.B.I investigated against the Dera chief. The trial in the case began in 2008, nearly six years after C.B.I booked the Dera chief in December 2002 for allegedly raping two female followers. In its charge sheet, the C.B.I claimed to have come across more victims allegedly raped by the Dera chief but the agency could trace only two who gave their statement during the trial. The Dera management has been misrepresenting all allegations against its chief but now the decision of the court is going to come on 25-08-2017. Baba’s devotees may be troubled by the court’s decision. It is now to see that Baba Ram Rahim can save himself from the law or not ?.

Meanwhile, Punjab and Haryana have sounded alert fearing volatile law and order situation if the verdict goes against the dera head. Governments of both the states have sought central forces from the Union home ministry. While the Panchkula, Mohali and Chandigarh police have cancelled leaves of the staff, the Haryana government has sought 150 companies of paramilitary forces. “The leaves of police personnel has also been cancelled,” said Haryana DGP B.S Sandhu, adding that foolproof security arrangements had been made to maintain law and order.
